I'm So Goddamn Happy, I Just Can't Believe It.2003-02-04 - 3:22 p.m. So could I be any happier? I think not. Friday night I met MW up at the pub. I was going to try not to smoke, but then when MW whipped his little pack of Swisher Sweets out, I scurried my ass next door and bought a pack of cigarettes. I know. I suck. Fuck off. The good news is that I haven't smoked since that pack was gone Saturday evening. Baby steps... We were supposed to go see a movie Saturday night, but then he got called at the last minute to go do an emergency service call in the city. We chatted on the phone to and from his little mission. I'm pretty sure he went over his 80 minute daily phone allocation that day. I'm just sayin'... So since we couldn't go out Saturday night, he said he'd come over Sunday and we'd catch a matinee. And we did. We went to see The Recruit. It was pretty good. Quite the enjoyable flick. After the movie, we stopped into a sports bar for to watch the Pro Bowl. We made a bad choice. The bar was full of televisions, most of which were turned to golf. We had one brewski and left to go to Shark City. Way more betterer, although I couldn't tell you much about the game. We kind of just sat there chatting. And eating. And eating. We were quite the piglets Sunday, yessirree Bob. More on that later. So anyway, we're sitting at the bar chatting when MW informs me that he's going to stay at my house to watch Oz. How cool is that? I needed some stuff from the grocery store, so we left the bar around 7ish and headed for Jewel. I really only needed tomato juice and lemons. Best laid plans... $55 later, we came home with-- Oh wait, let me back up a bit for ya so get the full picture. We started off the day having popcorn and nachos at the theater. We then moved on to 2, count 'em, 2 orders of hot wings at Shark City, plus an order of poppers. Then we went grocery shopping. For tomato juice. Ha! We ended the night by lying on my bed watching Oz while eating out of our individual pints of Ben & Jerry's, drinking coffee, and munching on Orange Milanos. Yes - we're gluttons. We do know how to have a good time though. LOL That brings us to Monday. He went to the gym after work. I ate dinner. I went and met him at Rock Bottom afterwards. I had coffee and he had dinner. It was so cool meeting up on a school night. Work has totally sucked today. I started this entry at 12:30 this afternoon. It's now 3:18. Time - it is a flyin'. Anyhoo, tonight I'll be going home and trying to get some laundry done and the house straightened. Tomorrow night, MW and I are going to go see Narc in Naperville, and Thursday night, a mortgage guy's coming over to my place to refinance my house. Go me. Hasta! Looking back...
