Another School-Night Date.2003-02-06 - 12:13 p.m. So last night I leave work a little late, but still manage to get to my 5:30 eye appointment half an hour early. What fun I had sitting in my car watching through the window until the doc was done with his current patient and I could go in. NOT. Good news is that my fear that he was going to tell me I needed bifocals did not come to fruition. Rather, he told me that the trial contacts he gave me were too strong, and he would order me another set. Yippee. He said I probably have another year or so before I enter the wonder world of bifocal land. Left the eye doctor in record time. Think the whole appointment took 6 minutes... Then headed for Naperville. Yes, the hometown of our very own Jodie Naperville, but I wasn't there to stalk her. I was in fact headed to meet MW for a mid-week movie. The plan was to go see Narc, however we all know what happens to plans. When we got to the theater, we were told that they were having a sneak-preview for some other movie in that theater that night, and Narc would not be shown. We opted to see The Guru. Got tix, got food, and then MW decided we should sneak into another theater and see Chicago instead of Guru. Way good call. It was a really good movie. MW (a.k.a. - Thumbelina) was dancing all the way to the car when we left. He's quite the master of the kick-ball-chain step for all of you who know him and are now picturing him. LOL So tonight is a big night for both of us. MW wins though. I am having the refinance dude over at 6 so I can sign papers and get the ball rolling on that. MW has a lawyer appointment at 4. Can't wait to hear what he has to say... MW wants to put the house on the market, but the soon-to-be-ex is stalling. His lawyer alluded to the fact that there may be something he can do to "speed up" the process. Fingers crossed, people!!! Tomorrow night, I think we're staying in. Perhaps I'll order a pizza or something. I think we're going to start our Sopranos Marathon. Going back to the first season. Neither one of us thinks we saw all the first season episodes.
