Mostaciolli Madness.2003-03-25 - 1:03 p.m. I'm at work and bored. Yes, I have shit I could be doing. Just not in the mood. No motivation either since my boss in in Vegas for the week... So yesterday afternoon Cam had his first counseling session. He said it went well and that he liked the counselor. On our way out of the house to go grocery shopping last night he said something about his "therapy". I told him that for Jack Nicholson, and Nicole Kidman, it's called therapy. For him, it's simply counseling. He told me he was sticking with "therapy", because "ya know - I'm very Hollywood, mom". He's a funny fucker. So yeah, we went shopping. I was out of everything. Ended up spending over a hundred dollars and still managed to forget the fucking Ziploc bags for to split up the family size packages of pork cutlets and burger that I bought. I suck. (And I'm getting better at it according to MW, but I digress.) Came home from shopping and decided to make some gravy. See - I'm making baked mostaciolli for dinner tonight, but knew I wouldn't have enough time to actually let the sauce simmer for hours after work, blah, blah, blah... So I cooked last night. Tastes pretty damn good, if I do say so myself. I got some fresh oregano and basil, lots of medium-hot Italian sausage, crushed tomatoes, tomato puree, about 5 cloves of garlic, and then added about a third of a cup of sugar, and half a bottle of zinfandel. Smelled damn good while it was cooking. Now it's in my fridge just waiting to be warmed up tonight. MW's coming over tonight for dinner in case you hadn't already figured that out. My plan is to leave here a little early - maybe around 3 or 3:30, head home, finish cleaning the kitchen, put the salad together, get the baked mostaciolli ready to go in the oven, make garlic bread, and be all ready to greet MW when he gets there around 5.
