Zoom Zoom...2003-04-01 - 1:18 p.m. So Kurt got a new car yesterday. It's really cool. He got an Impala. It's got all the bells and whistles on it too. Leather seats, butt warmers, CD changer, XM satellite radio, OnStar, etc... The list goes on and on. Plus it's a v6, but takes off like a v8. Sales guy told him it's the best engine Chevy makes. So yeah, he got a brand spanking new car, and I'm happy for him. But now I really want one. I've been doing a little Internet research, and I think I have my options whittled down to either the Ford Escape or the Mazda Tribute. If all goes well, we'll be at a Mazda dealer this weekend. Now what else? I have an appraiser coming to my house this afternoon. This has a double payoff. First of all, I get to leave work early, and secondly, my refinancing is almost done. Praise God. See, the really sweet part of this is that if I close before the 15th this month, I will be able to skip my April and May mortgage payments. That's roughly $2500. in my pocket. I expect all your little fingers to be crossed for me, people! So anyhoo, I'm leaving work today around 3ish, collecting Cameronious from my mother's house, hitting the grocery store, and going home. Did I mention Cam's been spending his spring break at grandma's place? Yesterday really paid off for me too. I sent him there with a box of yellow cake mix and a jar of Muir's Pumpkin Pecan Butter. I know at least one of you out there knows where I'm going with this... That's right! They whipped up a batch of Ms. Melanie's famous pumpkin bars. They were delicious, btw. Thanks again for the recipe, Mel! Today, their plan was to make kolackies (sp?) and coffee cake. Wonder what will get sent home... Hasta! Looking back... Just Pix - 2005-02-08
