Happy Saturday.2003-04-19 - 10:18 p.m. So I got my car on Wednesday. Now I'm all set with a 4WD vehicle for all that off-roading I do. We picked it up, and then I took Bunn out for dinner to a Chinese place. I wanted to thank him for all his help with the car debacle and for showing up at my place Tuesday evening with 2 Adirondack chairs and a little table for my balcony! It was windy out there Tuesday evening, but we sat outside drinking wine and talking until a wasp landed on my twice, I spilled my wine all over the place, and I had had it. See - I'm paranoid of bees and wasps and the like. Uncontrolably spastic. Makes summer kind of a bitch for me because I like sitting out on the balcony, but the fucking wasps know I'm terrified and they dive-bomb me. So anyway, back to Wednesday... We went out to dinner after picking up my car and we talked a lot. Bunn had a mediator appointment that afternoon. He's now decided that he can live with the soon-to-be ex having custody of the kids as long as he gets liberal visitation. He's looking at having the boys everyday after school, every other weekend, and all summer. He and the soon-to-be ex also had a few talks. She's agreed to be a better mom from now on (no more staying out all night every night), and they made a deal so they could each have certain nights "out". So far so good - Bunn spent the night here Friday. It was nice going to sleep knowing that he wasn't going to have to creep out and go home in the middle of the night. We went with my sister, her husband, and another couple to Zanies in Pheasant Run last night. The comedians were pretty good. The company did not bode as well. Somehow we have a much better time when it's just the two of us lately. At the end of the evening, the check came. For the six of us, the bar tab was $127. The one couple didn't drink so much - a few beers each. My sis was drinking $6 fru-fru drinks. The bro in-law was doing Tangueray and tonics, I had one fru-fru drink and then MGDs, and Bunn was drinking Heinekens. Nobody could figure out what we all owed based on how the check was made out. Everyone tried; no one had a solution. Finally, Kurt decided (based on the above) that Bob and Krissy and he and I should pay $60 per couple, and the other couple should pay $30. Sounded fair to me. Apparently Bob wasn't thrilled though because he kept going back and looking at the check. He's a pain in the ass about money sometimes, and he's getting more and more like my fucking father everyday. I have a feeling he'll still be debating the check tomorrow at Easter dinner at my mom's place. I already told Bunn to ignore him tomorrow. So this morning I got up and got in the shower, came out, blew Bunn, got dressed, and we went out for breakfast. It was a very nice morning. Gorgeous weather too. Then he left to go home. Tonight's the soon-to-be ex's turn to stay at her boyfriend's house so Bunn's doing dad duty. Brian had a baseball game this afternoon too. I decided it was a damn fine afternoon for a nap. I was paging back and forth with Marc for a while. He wanted me to drive up near his place and go to dinner at the Chinese joint near his house. I really wasn't in the mood though. Kinda just wanted to hang out at home. That was until Kurt IMed me to ask if I wanted to go see Anger Management with him and the kids tonight. That's what I ended up doing. The movie was pretty good. Now I'm dead tired, but have to make a butt-load of devilled eggs for to take to mom's tomorrow. Perhaps in the morning... Happy Easter Everyone! Hasta! Looking back...
