Recap and Moving Forward.2003-06-26 - 12:27 p.m. Poor lost little Bill F. I'll try to recap for you without rustling any feathers... Friday, June 6th, I decided to end friendships with my Internet friends. I thought I did so without malice, although in hindsight, I probably would've been pissed if I was on the receiving end of the post too. Basically, Kurt and I decided that we just didn't want to be part of the crowd anymore. It's hard to explain, but we just didn't feel like we fit in. Yes, some people got on our nerves; others didn't. It's not like we wish anyone ill. As for the whole Melanie thing, I am sorry I ever started it, but like I said in the guestbook, I just got tired of pretending I didn't know all the things she was saying about Kurt's and my relationship. The thing that truly pissed me off was the fact that she could comment on my weight, of all things, after I sent her a (sincere) note of encouragement after the whole Johnnie break-up thing. Anyway, I'm not addressing it here anymore. No, she didn't call Kurt and bitch after my last entry; she took the e-mail route. Hope that clears things up for ya, Bill. Now onto other news... So Bunn got discharged from the hospital Tuesday morning. The stubborn son-of-a-bitch drove himself home. I guess we got home a little after 12, then I turned around to go get his Vicodin scrip filled. Oh yeah, and to fetch the poor guy some ginger ale and sushi. Guess who's supposed to be on a low-fat diet for the next month... Later that night I made dinner while Bunn took a nap. It wasn't the lowest of low-fat meals, but hey - I didn't know about the restriction when I laid out the cornish hens to thaw in the morning. We watched some t.v. and ended up in bed dead asleep before 10. Got up around 5 on Wednesday morning and got ready for work. I was going to drop Cam off at my mom's, but then Kurt said he was going to hang out at the house for a while and he'd drop him off when he left for his house. I had a great day at work too. Only had one meeting in the morning, and then Timbo, the boss, and I were off for downtown to attend a Quality Assurance conference at Bank One. The presentation was interesting. It was given by a woman who works at Goddard for NASA. After the presentation, the three of us went down the block to this little restaurant across the street from the Shubert Theater for a drink. After that, Timbo had to catch his train, and Trish and I went to The Italian Village for dinner. Damn tasty. We both had some beef thing in a marsala wine sauce. Caught the 7:30 train after dinner and made it home shortly after 9:00. Talked to Kurt for a bit on the phone. That was interesting since his oldest son was instant messaging me on the computer while we were talking. Funny kid. So I got off the phone, crawled into bed, read almost one chapter of the Carl Hiaasen book I just started (thanks to Bunn), and fell asleep like a rock. Hasta! Looking back... Just Pix - 2005-02-08
