Found Money.2003-07-02 - 10:56 a.m. I'm getting so excited about Vegas... I ordered us tickets to go see Rita Rudner on Kurt's birthday, and I'm going to make a reservation at Spago for dinner before the show. Plus I've ordered 3 bathing suits online. Hopefully one of them will make me look not so "heavyset". LOL But no, I'm not just relying on the perfect suit - I'm also really trying to watch what I eat. Been doing a lot of salads and chicken lately with tons of water. It helps that Cam's not around, and when Kurt gets home it shouldn't be too bad either since he's on a low-fat post-surgery diet for a month. We'll see how it goes. Kurt called this morning from Florida to let me know that he's dropping the boys off in Ohio on his way home so they can spend a week with their aunt Valerie and cousin Shannon. I'm guessing that means he goes back to his house to pick up the boys' hamsters and then spends the week by me. Then next weekend we're going to Ohio to pick them up and spend the day at Cedar Point (Pointe?). Dunno - never been there... Ooh, guess what else... I got wonderful news this morning. See, after my refinancing, I got a check from my old mortgage company from my escrow account. It was a little over $2200, but I just stuck it in the bank because I wasn't entirely sure how my taxes were getting paid with the refinancing and all... Then I saw on my mortgage statement that they had not been paid. Last night I went through my closing papers and found that the title company was given money to cover my taxes. I called them up this morning, and sure enough, they're going to pay my taxes for me, plus they kept out too much at closing so I'm going to get about $600 back after they pay them!!! So now not only can I spend a little of the $2200 in the bank, but I get an extra $600 to boot!!! I might even take Bunn out for dinner one night next week if he plays his cards right. ;-) Hasta!
