Laborious Day.2003-09-01 - 12:17 p.m. Is it just me or is Jerry Lewis no longer even looking like Jerry Lewis? I flipped on the telethon for a bit last night. Mistake. Couldn't turn it off though. It was like watching a train wreck. Jerry's huge and seems to be losing it, and then he brings out Norm Crosby who's telling jokes from 30 years ago. It was painful. So I woke up this morning around 5:30 and put it back on. I'm nothing if not dumb to the core. Then I fell back asleep and woke up to Kurt calling. He was on his way to his mom's for breakfast. Today's his mom and Chuck's 13th anniversary. I talked to Chuck and his mom and wished them both a happy anniversary. His mom told me that she's used to being the one running around the kitchen making everything and now she's just sitting on her fat ass watching. She said Chuck used to complain that she was always running around though. I told her that he's got her right where he wants her now, and she said she guessed it was better than being barefoot and pregnant. She's a funny broad. So I got off the phone, hopped in the shower, woke up Cam, and we went out for breakfast. Of course, as soon as we got back from breakfast, Cam was outta here. I'm sick of the teen-ager thing. I want my 12 year-old back who would bum around with me all weekend. Icky day out - we got rained on. Kinda nice though because I have a shitload of stuff to do around the house between laundry and dusting and crap to get ready for Kurt to get home. Did I mention he's going to be here Thursday afternoon? Yep. His mom and Lynda (sister) decided he looked homesick and should go a little earlier than planned. I'm way happy he's coming home, but I feel sorry for him having to say goodbye to his mom. I get teary just thinking about it; I'd hate to be him. So I'm at home today with the tunes cranked on the PC and I'm doing dishes when Kurt's son, Brian IMs me. Scared the crap out of me because the IM sound was way loud because of the music... He liked the fact that he scared the crap outta me when I told him. We chatted for a while, and then it was back to the kitchen. Just finished everything in there, have laundry going, and now I get to go dust my room. Everything else is pretty much done. I had my family over Saturday for chili so I cleaned all the visible rooms then. Think maybe I'll go rent some movies when I'm done with my room. I'm in the mood for a chick flick.
