Sixteen Sucks So Far.2004-03-23 - 9:04 a.m. I'm bouncing between diaries; sue me. I accidentally signed-in under the old name, and only realized it after typing most of the following. You'll live. So we took another trip to Florida. I used to think I wasn't the traveling kind, but I'm sort of getting used to it now, and even looking forward to it. See - Bunn went down to Florida on 02/17 for a little vacation with his boss, and to clear the rest of the stuff out of his mom's house because it sold, and the closing was scheduled for 03/04. So he went down there and got everything done. He got home on 02/24, and went from the airport to my place. When I got home from work, I was driving him home when he said, "Ya wanna go to Florida this weekend?" I'm not stupid, so I looked at him and said, "I got nothin' goin' on this weekend." So we proceeded to go back to my house where Bunn got on the computer, made airline reservations, hotel reservations, and a rental car reservation. We left Friday afternoon, and we were supposed to come back Tuesday morning. I say "supposed to" because he got me drunk one night and "talked me into" staying till Wednesday night. LOL It was a great trip. We started out our days at the pool, then retreated to the room for "relations", then back to the pool to nap, then dinner, etc... Very relaxing. Hated to come home. Plus we had some of the best wine ever!!! For dinner Saturday night, Bunn ordered a bottle of Opus One. Almost $200 for the bottle, and I was expecting not to be able to tell the difference between that and most other wines. I was so fucking wrong. It was smoother than anything I've ever had. Dinner Saturday night was at this place called Andre's. Supposed to be the best restaurant on the island, and I believe it. It's a very high-class restaurant, but everyone there is very nice and down to earth. We had the best waitress, too... I can't remember her name, but she was so good that we made a reservation for Tuesday night too, and specifically requested her. She was impressed with our wine selection, and then after dinner we ordered Espresso Martinis. She called us brats. LOL They were so good though. Espresso, vodka, Kahlua, and creme de cocoa. To die for. Ooh, I almost forgot - Kurt rented a little convertible. It was fun to drive. Not used to such a tiny little car. It was a Mitsubishi Spyder. I had fun going 100 m.p.h. from the airport to his mom's house. LOL So now for the bad news... Cam's at it again. First of all, he got a job so that's good. He's working at Frank's Nursery, and appears to enjoy it although I haven't really asked him about it because we haven't been speaking much since his first day on the job. He went for employee orientation last Wednesday. Found out he'd be making $5.75/hr. He's thrilled. Then he was working Friday night. I left work early and went wine tasting with a guy from work, then later Bunn called from his boss's office in Elk Grove. He had to drop his work van off there, and his boss was going to bring him to my house, but I told him I'd just come pick him up. So I went and retrieved my little bunny, then we headed to the pub for a drink, then to the mexican place next door for dinner, and then to my place to eat and wait till it was time to pick up Cam from work. Before we left, I went into Cam's room to pack him a bag for the weekend. As I was rummaging around, I found not only a cork and foil from a wine bottle, but a pot pipe. I was not happy. So Kurt and I went to pick him up, and I asked him about it. He had the fucking balls to deny it even when I had him dead-to-rights. That pissed me off so bad I almost told Kurt to take the wheel so I could turn around and smack him. He stuck to his story until Sunday night. It was a quiet weekend. Sunday night I also found out that he has been lying to me regarding getting rides to work. See, he's been starting work at 3 or 3:30, and I'm not home yet to take him so he told me his friend Katie's been driving him. Nay, nay... Remember the reprobate, Brandon? The pot dealer? The high school drop out? The teenage father? Yeah, that's the one. So Brandon's been taking him to work. Nice. I also found out that the money I've been giving him for food on his breaks at work has been going to buy his cigarettes. I have had it with him. I took away his house keys and told him he's no longer allowed in the house when I'm not there. Then I told him he should think about moving in with his father. Oh yeah, the wine cork? My new $18 bottle of Vignoles. Drank it all Thursday night and then proceeded to have me call him in to school for his first class on Friday because he was "sick". I bet. So the next dilemma is Spring Break. I'm hoping my brother in-law will take him to work with him during the day. Then there's our trip to Vegas on 04/08. We're taking the kids. Mine had better be on his best fucking behavior, or I'm leaving him there. Hasta! Looking back... Just Pix - 2005-02-08
