Never A Dull Momentito.2004-08-11 - 12:26 p.m. So we're back to "Plan B" after all. Originally, we were flying back to Vegas to get married, but decided that was just financially fucked up. Then we decided we were just going to the DuPage County courthouse and "gittin' er done". Then MW decided to start a thread at Dahl.com to see if Stever would marry us. Long story short is that Steve said he'd be happy to do it, but then found out that he'd have to actually go to the powers that be in Cook County to get registered. Dan Falato checked on things, and he found out there was no way to do it through mail or online, and apparently, we're not important enough to Steve for the trip to whatever building he'd have to go to to get registered. ;-) So now we're back to DuPage County. We will be gracing them with our presence at 11:30 in the morning to get registered, and then we'll be sitting in the hall waiting for our number to be called. I know - I'm making it sound more romantic than it will really be. Thing is... Neither one of us really cares how we get married. We're rather of the opinion that the marriage is a tad mas importante than the wedding. So basically, in about 48 hours, the two shall be one. Eh - I'm just psyched for "after wedding sex". And in other wedding news - we're having a little party to celebrate on the 28th with a few friends. Very very casual. Pool party with catered food. I've been surfing the net for 2 days now trying to find something in the way of catering that sounds good. It's kind of a pain in the ass... Oh yeah, and we both took off work Monday and went out and bought a hot tub. The backyard is shaping up to be quite the aquatic wonderland, I tell ya. We're hoping to be able to get a concrete guy to come out post haste so the hot tub can be up and running for the party. In other non-wedding related news... The basement's almost done, my brother in-law put the carpet in Sunday and Monday, the painter is there today painting Cam's room, and the rest of the basement, Cam registers for school on the 13th (while we're getting married), the fence in the backyard gets installed on the 14th, Cam leaves for California to see FoFY on the 14th, the landscapers are doing the backyard on the 16th and 17th, my furniture gets moved in on the 20th, the boys are having a pool party on the 21st, Brian's first football game is the 22nd, Cam comes home on the 22nd, and hopefully in there somewhere will be concrete and a hot tub delivery. I'm so not used to this. I'm used to having just next to nothing to do all the time. This is quite the switch. Tonight we're going to my house to pack more stuff, and then off to pick up Kurt's wedding rings. (One for work and one for the rest of the time) So there you have it - our little lives in a nutshell these days. Hasta! Looking back... Just Pix - 2005-02-08
